It provides full-range sound with very low noise. JBL's Magic! is the best sounding wireless system I've auditioned.
The suggested retail price for the Magic! 2 package is $650, but you'll probably find it for $100 less. The speakers easily pivot and in addition to surround sound channels, you can use them for stereo anywhere in the house. This is a portable stand that holds the speakers, and electronics, which mate the Taxi's base. The Magic! 2 package consists of a 20 watt per channel amplifier equalized for the Sat 2 speakers (which come with the Movies 2 package) the stereo transmitter/receiver, and the Taxi. The transmitter/receiver offer a choice of 10 channels, allowing you to avoid interference from other 900 mhz transmitters and also operate multiple wireless systems in the house. A 900 mhz receiver, and separate amplifier, each about the size of a stack of pancakes, feed the sound to the matching pair of surround speakers. A 900 mhz transmitter attaches to the surround outputs of your audio/video receiver or surround sound decoder. Magic! allows you to use the Music/Movie speakers without wires. While Music and Movies are self-explanatory, Magic! is another story. The BassWave subwoofer, which conveniently fits in a corner, can also power the left and right front channels. A large, but similarly shaped, powered subwoofer handles the bass. This makes positioning the speakers easy. They come with versatile, swiveling mounting brackets than can be attached to just about anything at any angle. The Music 2 and Movies 2 speakers are narrow columns not much larger than a half-gallon milk container.
